Hi Guys,
I think this may have been discussed on here before, but I'll ask anyway.
Despite the cost of crude oil more than halving in price the cost of 2 stroke oil has remained pretty much the same. So, I was considering trying Groundsman on account of the spec seeming to be the same as road-going 2 stroke oils and the lower price. Are many of you guys using it?

most oils now are ether semi or totally synthetic meaning the cost of oil has little bearing on the price as they don't have much if any oil in them

Like yourself I'd heard people talking about Groundsman and eventually I gave it a go. I'm glad I did because I can't fault it at all. My scooter has not missed a beat since I've been using it. I'd certainly recommend you giving it a go.

Thanks for the replies so far.
Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy it is, maybe buying in bigger quantities?

One of those sites where you have to create an account just to find out how much shipping is
Any idea how much 5 litres shipping is?

Thanks Paul, just ordered some to audition, code works, saved £1.24 on 5 litres.
Edit.....
Turned up today (Wednesday) quick service, don't think that's bad at all for 5 litres of fully synthetic delivered to your door.

I have ended up buying 30 litres (25 drum and 5 ltr bottle) from Abbey Garden Machinery Ltd for £105.28, with free delivery. About £3.50 a litre, so about half price of single litre bottles of semi-synthetic. Might be cheaper elsewhere?

Coaster I too run an Avanti 225, stomps on like a train can't fault it. Built the engine 5 years ago and never been stripped since . I might give this oil a go

I'm on my third drum of exol semi - use it in my 2 nicosil barrel TS1s, steel lined TS1 and my steel lined Ali vespa.
My mate used it in his malossi 172 and now in his stage 4 GP.
No problems on any 3% on brettas and 2 on vespas.
My scoots are only used for rallies so it's had good testing on hard motorway miles

That's were I was buying putoline TT sport in 12 litre boxes and still paying over a tenner a litre. I got the spec sheet from putoline and exol to compare and they were virtually identical. So I give a go and glad I did.
