Hi , is there an easy way to tell if a barrel is from a Tv175, or a normal 175 conversion barrel? thanks Lammer205

I'd have thought a genuine TV barrel might be longer to accommodate the longer rod.
What is the distance between the gasket faces?

Barrel length is the same as other SIII barrels (although there are some very minor length differences between models) as the longer rod is used with a lower compression height piston, resulting in the same overall piston height at top dead centre.
Do a search for identifying different barrels as there have already been a number of threads on the subject.

Adam

Looking at 2, both have cut outs on the spigot and 2 notches on the top fin. One has a number 3, the other 0 on the stub next to the inlet and both have a half moon shape on the head gasket face.
