Lever Bolt on hydraulic disk

Postby plantphoto » Tue May 10, 2016 3:35 pm

I'm mounting a bracket for sat nav and I need a longer lever bolt.
It's a hydraulic disk and wondered if it's a special fit or if something longer is likely to exist.
The nut is on but I'd like more thread to be safe.
Cheers Simon

No idea on the lever bolt but id not use that to mount it personally, why not use the actual mirror hole on top of the master cylinder to mount it?

That was quick Donnie !
Yeah not ideal and the mirror mount was my first choice but sat nav didn't sit well on top.
The screen is much better as it is except like you I'm not so keen on mounting it underneath.
Maybe I need to look again.

Here's how I mount mine, uses a case from ebay and satnav app on iphone 5 so may not be what you want but might give thee another way at looking at mounting yours?

As I’ve never used a SatNav on a scoot, if I were to try one of mine (Garmin & Binatone) I was wondering if anybody has ever used the suction cup on the inside of the legshields? It may be a stupid question as somebody will hopefully confirm or deny…

As for the accessory socket (cigarette lighter) does anybody have experience of the mounting of these? I was thinking in the under seat toolbox & trapping the cable between the door & the frame. It sounds a bit gash though.

My apology if this is a hijack! Good job we’re all friends, eh? ;)

Ive got an inside leggy toolbox so nowhere to house the suction cup, but to be fair I only use a satnav app on the phone as didn't want to buy a seperate satnav as the app is more than adequate and was only £6.99. Also use a speedo app so 2 for 1.

As for the cigerette lighter, again I house this inside the toolbox, this way I can run a charging lead out of the toolbox straght up to the phone while on the go :-)
