Cheers Adam, yeah have ordered another stator anyway, should really have a spare anyhoo for longer runs, but today I will get into the reeds and see if theres anything obvious there.

Well it's not the reeds either, they look spot on and everythings tight.

Because one of your petals may have cracked/broken, doubling up helps prevent this from happening. Not saying it is this but worth doing.

LOL, well I hope not, seeing as I had the reed block out and had to drop the engine to do so i went ahead and dropped the cylinder etc off too to check.

no sticky or damaged rings, no head or base gasket leaks etc either. So now I guess the moneys on the stator :(
