When I built my series 2,I got a complete kit, rubbers and stainless nuts and bolts from Buzzsolomoto. Its more expensive but less of a hassle than buying 3 nuts and bolts for one job and 5 nuts and bolts for another job etc, plus they come in there own snap bags so you know what fastens what. ;)

Hi Paul, I want to go down this route as the fasteners won't cost me anything.

this was useful to me, alongside the book. the kits are pricey. problem with self sourcing nuts and bolts is that you can only buy loads, big plus side is you soon build up a tool box size store which always comes in handy.

I buy all my stainless steel button head and allen bolts and nuts from the fleabay.
There are a couple of really good suppliers who provide good quality items A2 / A4 grade ss, at good prices and fast delivery.
Once youve bought a few items you cant stop buying them.

I get mine from a local "Fixing and Welding Supplies" outfit you can buy a nut and bolt or 100, doesn't bother them and at a fraction of the cost of these fixing kits.
