New Carb ( which one )

Postby Chilli » Sun Oct 02, 2016 3:23 pm

I am thinking of updating the carburettor on my Li125 Silver special (175cc barrel and piston)
The current Carb is the standard SH1 20, 20ml but it needs updating as it's pretty old and struggling a touch, any ideas as to what would be a good replacement ? cheers in advance

A good call Rich.

I saw one of the Polini 21/23 carbs at Wicksteed today. Very tidy, and I think they take the Dell onto jets, but perhaps an expert will be along in a minute. I don't know what manifold this would go on.

I thought they took Keihin parts but I may be wrong, Martin.

Re the OP, maybe consider treating the original carb to a new slide and a good clean out. A 20 Dell'orto is more than able to fuel a 175 unless it is tuned.
