I'm not sure if I should share this but I think It gives a valuable insight into what the younger generation think.
Whilst I was restoring my Li 125 a couple of years ago some of my young daughter's friends occasionally popped round to call for her, the boys naturally were inquisitive and seemed interested the girls were mildly interested.
They had never heard of Lambretta I explained it was an design Icon oozing Italian style a thing of beauty to behold (i'm welling up here thinking about it) on the last occasion the youngsters called to ask if daughter was playing out I proudly proclaimed the Lambretta was finished and proceeded to get it from the garage to show them I wheeled it out and said "what d ye think" my daughter piped up "its minging" I was crushed
I suppose the point is only a relatively small and as time goes on getting smaller group will be prepared to pay the crazy prices some people think these things are worth.

I suppose as time goes on the wound will heal but seriously I have had some knock backs over the years but the phrase "broken man " as she skipped off down the lane with her friends with the words "minging" ringing in my ears does not describe the pain .
Im considering therapy thats why I have done the only thing one can do .
Whats that I hear you say?
I bought another Lambretta     :D
