Hi,
I have found a Chloride battery maintenance card which I think might have come from my father's 1961 series 2. It says that the battery was dry charged to July 1961, which is about the right time. It refers to battery types ENA5, EC7, ED5, EV11 and EY7. Were any of these used on Li150's?
Thanks!

According to Chloride Exide charts the batteries mentioned are industrial/traction batteries..

Thanks for the information! I vaguely remember taking this card from the glove box on my father's series 2 in the mid-70's and the date on it matches the date of the scooter. Apparently the charging current for an ENA5 battery is 0.75A which seems about right for a scooter battery!

If its .75amp charge then its definitely not a traction battery...most likely now that the old 6volt coding has gone they now use the same ones for different kinds of battery ie the EV series is for electric vehicles now..

Well, inside the rear cover of my ancient 'Lambretta Serviceman's Book' is an ad for Chloride's 'Silver Exide' batteries. Bearing in mind the book only covered up to the Series 1 Li/Tv, it reckons that the 3-EC7 battery was the one for the 1956-8 LDB 150, the 1957-9 Tv1 and the 1958-9 Li. The 12 volt LDA/AVV 150 used qty 2 3-ED5 batteries, and the FDC three wheeler used a 3-EY7 battery. I knew I'd seen it somewhere.......
