Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

Electronic rev counter?

Postby Leotech » Sun Nov 13, 2016 1:07 am

Looking at fitting a rev counter to my latest build, Fancied an old type off the chain case but saw these with the white face etc, Anyone used one of these type rev counter, I presume you connect it to a battery and one lead piggy backs onto the pick up lead from the stator plate?

Did it work or did it interfere with the Lambretta basic electronic ignition system?

Any thoughts greatly received

Good luck getting one of them to work...

I bought a couple of them a few years ago but never had any joy getting them to work. Most don't seem to work on single cylinders and them that are described as suitable didn't work.

Saying that the ones I bought were about £10 so maybe a more expensive type might have more success.

Same here bought one from flea bay for a tenner , never ever worked ended up buying a digital one made for go-karts which sits on my handle bar and works a treat
