Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

Thanks WT1, I must admit i'm not a thrasher through the gears. tbh the Gori kit is literally sold as 'not a fire breather' - i wanted a 175 with relevent piston so as to have a thicker barrel and be (maybe) more reliable.

Thanks Phil D, yes yours seems exactly like mine. it should be off the clock on my 80kph speedo...

Now that I know that it's a bit slow I will recheck everything I can then see about getting it to a mechanic again. it had a bit of a kick in since the dyno from burglars a few weeks ago (it was kicked over and got a bit dented) but I checked the exhaust nuts (just in case) and re-oiled Etc.

Best A

so, I went to strip down the carb and found the throttle cable had frayed so much at the carb end that bits of wire in the cable outer were inhibiting the movement of the slide. I feel a bit sheepish tbh but glad its sorted. It ran off the clock today on the dual carriageway and grunts very satisfactory, as it did when dynoed. I must have run it like this for a few weeks. Lesson learnt

Thanks for your help, as I just wasn't sure what was going on, and good to know what I should expect. As it goes I'm happy!
