ScootRS Disc Brake

Folks,
Some years ago (seven maybe more?) I bought the ScootRS disc brake, the one already assembled on an alloy tubeless wheel. I'll try and upload a photo at the end of the post

I think at the time there were very few tubeless rims, maybe no alloy at all or very expensive, so I opted for this and a steel tubeless rim for the back.

Disc brake is spot on but I really dislike the alloy wheel and want to get a new set of matching tubeless rims. Problem is I need a hub that the disc brake fits to, and need it to work with modern tubeless rims. Question is, is there a product on the market? I've trawled the internet and called a couple of dealers but can't find one. Also, haven't tried ScootRS as not sure if the service is the same as it used to be.

Any help appreciated.

I think scootRS have stopped trading,so I dont think that you'll be able to buy anything from them.As for a front hub,I dont know were you'll get one to fit that disc.

As you say Lui Lui it's a Marmite that front wheel .
I looked around for a while because I had chance of a caliper and front brake master cylinder.
I couldn't find anywhere that sold the outboard set up individually, I have the attention span of a child so gave up and got a colouring in book out instead.

ive got one of those on my 350 lammy, i bought it as its similar to my rear wheel, the wheel is made by sim and they probably dont look the best on an original resto, but fine on a street racer like mine, the disc has extra holes drilled in it and i would expect it to fit onto the drum style hub that you probably want, sadly i dont know where you might get one, but someone reading this thread might, your other option is just to sell the one you have and buy the one you like, best of luck,

ive just checked beedspeeds site and they sell the pepper pot type hub only, might be worth ringing them and asking if the parts will swap over ?

Thanks for the replies, I'll give Beadspeed a call and ask though I may have already (mind like a sieve ) otherwise may post for sale and hope someone likes marmite . Problem is major rebuild and limited funds

I've got one of these kits, bought it from RS to have a look at but wasn't impressed with it. Several faults with it that they weren't prepared to acknowledge {we've sold loads with no issues???} ... such responses may or may not have any baring on why they longer appear to be in business.
I'll dig it out but from memory it's a 5 hole disc converted to 3 hole to match the hub but one of the 5 holes drilled out so probably not recommended to use it on a another 5 hole hub. You can buy a suitable hub but they come with the disc fitted anyway so you're not really saving anything plus you'll need a new axle. As has been said you're better off selling yours complete, assuming it works fine and buying a new hub. Just leave your master cylinder and hose in place and buy a new hub kit. Probably around the £200 mark or £225 with anti dive.

agree it looks like a five hole disc re-drilled, do you think the one 'shared' hole has been resized and may be unsafe to use on a normal five hole hub? I'll call Beedspeed on Saturday and ask as they do a hub unit for £65 and it may work. If not I think I'll may go for Camlams kit with anti-dive for 225, it's more money than Beedspeeds equivalent but has the Nissin caliper and anti-dive.
