That's handy. One question? With the tool box wielded up as this is, would the tool box door still fit and lock shut?
The top pipe looks very small.
The guy says he wanted to keep the original look but now going for a GRP tank. Doesn't make much sense.

The one on ebay. It looks like it has been used and no signs of any leaks from the seams. That's good. The top connector, certainly in this case, acts virtually entirely as a breather. No issue with that.

As I have said previously, you need to place rubber between the frame and the toolbox part of the tank. That is how you space the tank away from the toolbox door lock.

Personally, that tank doesn't look a bad price to me. I'd take a punt on it if I was looking for one. I might just ask the seller to confirm the threads are okay where the tap connects though as you can't really tell from the photo.

Yeah it works just the same. Theres an inch or so spare behing the door. I fit my spare cables, ht lead, fuses etc in there.

When I did one on my S2 I had to modify the toolbox door hinge but not on my SX. Even with some rubber on the frame it still needed modifying.

Defo worth a punt on the ebay one if it's price stays sensible.....

Make sure the connecting and vent pipes are a decent diameter. I had one of the ScootRS twin tanks and those pipes were only 10mm. As a result the tank took a long time to fill because the fuel took ages to get through to the toolbox
