Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

I'm just after zinc wheel nuts. The ones I bought for my standard series three rims , the nyloc didn't touch the stud threads even with just a thin wavy washer fitted. Where can I get hold of the correct size of dome and plain nylocs with 14mm socket size in zinc ? Thanks

Cheers Toddy. I'm trying to get the 14mm spanner size. These seem hard to get hold of. For a 64 special restoration.

I think the ones you are using are the deep nylocs and the thread on the studs wont reach the nyloc part of the nut. These are the correct spanner size, but I dont know about the depth of the nut, they're not cheap though.

Cheers hx. I saw these. They are pricey like you say. Gets a bit too much for just nuts only ,on three sets of rims. Was looking at the zinc keeping in line with fork and spindle bolts fitted which are zinc .

Yes you're right, about 2 mm too high. I never checked when bought, just put in the drawer for future use.

Sod It. Gone for 13mm stainless. For the sake of 1mm ! Hopefully Scootopias GP ones are correct height and . Not messing about on safety relying on a few little nuts

I know you like it to look the part, but I'm not confident with domed nuts. The only way to be sure is to use standard nylocs all round. Maybe a colour co-ordinated dab of paint on the top of the studs so you know which is which.
