Ive got an Li 150 gearbox,I'm going to use it with 46x16 sprockets and a Grand Turismo pull down chain guide,I also have an 82 link Iwis chain.Question is,will it fit.

I've got 16/47 with an 82 link chain and pull down tensioner and I'm not totally happy with it. It fits, but there is too much of an arc in the top run for me. I'd get an 81 link chain if I were you. I'm only keeping my 82 in case i want to put a 17 tooth on the front later on.

As above 81 link with a pull down tensioner, a useful download is the Lambretta gearbox visualiser.Shows you various gearbox/front sprocket/crownwheel /chain combinations.For example yours of 46X16 it says a stretched (knackered) 80 link , so a 81 with a pull down tensioner is what you need.

I've never quote understood this business with stretched chains. Always seems like a bodge to me. You're using knackered parts basically.

I agree. A stretched chain is a knackered chain. Others will disagree I'm sure.
