Weird - with meter set on 200 i get reading of 20 on one of the bulbs i have or 1.2 on other bulb - both the same type of bulb?
- surprised? - no reading when bulb out (meter stays on 1 at left side) -what next

1.2 ohms is wrong.
20 ohms is correct

Use I=V/R

1.2 ohms equates to 120 watt bulb.

20 ohms equates to 7 watt bulb.

That 1.2 ohms is able to take the lot and short your headlamp supply to earth through its filament.

I'm just going to find one to measure.

Might end up with egg all over my face.!!

Spare bulb I have is 5.8 ohms and it's a 25 watt bulb.

Can you pull the black and swap it with the wire feeding the brake light filament. I wonder if that might make a difference.

see previous message

if i wire up to charger the thinner longer filament is the running light and the brake light the shorter fatter filment - headlamp works OK but dimms when brake light applied as you would imagine.If using scooter loom wiring connected (engine running) I have to change the connectors in rear light to get them to work and this time shorter fatter filament is running light and longer thinner filament is brake light
