I have recently bought a Spanish series 2 lambretta and I'm looking to sympathetically restore it. What I need to know is,Are there any differences between Italian parts and Spanish? I.e Cables, brakes,Electrics, etc. Before I go ordering parts I'd just like some clarification on parts. Last thing I'd want to do is order parts and they are wrong. Also who are the best suppliers?

Other than the obvious horncast and front mudguard I think everything else is the same, but happy to be corrected on that! As for suppliers I tend to use Scooter Restorations for standard parts, along with Just Lambretta, Buzz Solomon, Scootopia, CamLam, MB and Torbay Lambretta....there's actually a lot of decent suppliers out there. Just a small handful that I only ever use as a last resort but wouldn't be fair to name them on here

As said, the front mudguard and horncast. However if its an original engine you may find that if you want to do anything cylinder wise that many if not all had been fitted with the shorter series one type cylinder and therefore the cylinder cowl too. Would be an issue if you want to put a different top end on, just order up a later cylinder cowl too :-)

That's a good point, my Eibar had the shorter cylinder and cowl so had to replace the cowl

Cheers Guys. As it's a early series 2 Eibar then more than likely it does have the shorter cylinder and cowl.
