[youtube-share][/youtube-share]I have a 1966 125 special running 6v electrics ,the scooter as only done 2200 km from brand new as it had a carb fire in 1967 and as stood in Italy until 2013 ,hence I would like to keep everything stock.I replaced everything that had burnt ,namely wiring and cables and tyres and seat and it sailed through its MOT.
that was last year but when I come to take it for the MOT this year I have no rear brake light.First I changed the bulb but no luck so next I disconnected the two pink wires
from the brake pedal switch and connected those together thinking it could be the switch but again no luck.
I started the scooter and swapped the pink and black wires in the bulb holder thinking it could be the bulb holder, the black wire lit the stop light , so no problem with the bulb holder ,now I'm not good at all with electrics but I know how to test for continuity so with my voltmeter I checked at the junction box to brake light on the pink wire and I have continuity????? why am I getting nothing ,can anybody give me any pointers as to what to check next please ,the scooter will start no problem and all the other lights appear to be working fine ,need to get this sorted before Italy in 3 weeks and while I could take it to a shop id rather try and sort this for future reference and also to learn more about the electrics.
