Mugello 198 and Gori

A mate has tried to fit a Gori box pipe to a v4 Mugello kit but although the box fits the casing it's miles out on the u pipe. Has anyone else had this problem?

See here. Worst thing I ever bought, cheaply and poorly made and finished and on top of that not a hope in hell of getting it to fit, read from bottom of page 3.

I fitted the same pipe and barrel combo to a mates scoot.
The U bend fitted perfectly. However, the tail pipe was way off and needed significant heating and bending.

Thanks for the info everyone, looks like it's a common problem that can only be sorted by cutting and re-welding.

My Scootopia clubman fitted my iron 175 conversion perfectly as it did the Mugello so nothing had changed with the angle of the cylinder/port arrangement they were identical.

Overpriced lump of noisy scrap imo.

Well mine is an early one with just the four studs as opposed to the later ones with 7. Point I'm trying to make is it Dident fit my Mugello so therefore it wouldent have fitted the iron 175, or any other cylinder for that matter either as they were identical.
Scootopia clubman fits both, I don't see Scootopia offering an alternative down pipe for Mugello do you?

Hi had exactly the same problem down pipe fitted fine but the bracket which goes on the side casing was 2 inches out by the rear tyre. Took everything off and slowly heated and bend until fits, absolute Fr%%^&g nightmare! Do everything loose then tighten up As previous thread mentioned I brought some long nuts to wire up but these cannot fit.

To be fair I did ring up the shop where I brought it ( The one in St Ives), and they said send it back, but I am too stubborn and had to fit it!

I hope there is no stress pressure on the can end otherwise it will crack.

But must admit looks nice and that loud my missus can put the kettle on when I am 2 miles away!
