TS1 jetting with TSR Evo

Postby LuiLui » Tue May 16, 2017 4:47 pm

Folks,
I've searched the previous topics and couldn't see this set up, so hope someone can give me a starting point.

TS1 with MB race/tour tune, Mikuni tmx35 and Evo exhaust.

Very stuttery when pulling off, almost to stalling point. Also about to put hole in side panel :( as revs a lot higher when it's on. Carb came pre-jetted for use with TS1 and franspeed 3, about to take it off and see what they are. Any one with similier set up and could give me a pointer it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Just checked mine as I have almost same set up. I'm running 57 needle on 2nd from top, 52 pilot and 310 main. A little rich maybe but no running problems apart from bl**dy grounding u bend a few times

Thanks for the reply Nick. I got down to middle clip on a 57 and a 320 main, it was still boggy up to half throttle although plug colour looked ok. It was also seriously hot after a two mile blast. Hadn't got round to checking the pilot so might have cleared up the boggy start but decided to stop guessing and have booked it in for a dyno this week. A bit of a 'dark art' this carb business so rather than risk damage I'll let the experts sort it out.

Cheers
Mark

That's what I did. Had it set up on Diablo's dyno a few years ago. Good luck
