Cleaning Inside an exhaust

Postby 69GP225 » Mon Sep 18, 2017 9:34 am

Hello,

I have a nice condition Ron Moss Clubman I sent to the chromers. They have said it maybe too dirty for there tanks.
I'm waiting to hear. Has anyone been able to clean the internals of an exhaust before?

How would you clean it?

Any ideas?

Thanks, lee

I have the same problem. Possibly going to fill it up with gravel then gaffer tape the ends and put it in the boot of my car for a month. Then get the residue out with caustic soda.

2 problems are that I'm a fairly sedate driver and i don't know if caustic will be a problem for mild steel.

The chromers usually bung each end so that no liquid gets in and crucially out.
