Hello,

How much paint do I need to paint most of a series 3 in one colour?

Thanks Lee

I'm pretty sure I have used approx a litre in the past. Always buy a bit more than you think you need in my experience.

All depends on what paint you are using. Celi will use mix of 50/50 paint thinners, you may go even less paint more thinners so you will get 2 Lt of paint. 2 pack uses a lot less thinners plus the hardner activator so you may need a bit more. It's all the tinware and bits that use it up. If you are going to wet sand and buff another coat is sacrificed

Hi when I painted my series 3 I used a litre of base coat which equals 2 litres thinned and a couple of litres of lacquer 2 pack it also depends on the colour ( some colours cover easier than others ). Also the colour of the primer being covered . It's best to have a bit left over than not enough . I painted mine fiat 500 baby blue and it took some right covering my advice is take your time because a paint job can make or break a scooter plus paint an materials aren't cheep .

Thanks guys.

The painter is using 2 pack paint. I can't wait to get this bike built. Got some really tasty original accessories for the bike. No lights or mirrors thank god, just got to get my hands on my mates fluted vigano horncast embellisher and I'm done. Good thing about these bikes is we all have different taste!

Going for white and blue with chrome.
