Opinions: Scootopia Clubman on GT186(200) and 30PHBH?

Anyone running this?

Recently rebuilt and run in GT186 with third port behind the reeds and in the casing to match, 60mm crank and overbore piston taking it to 200cc, 30PHBH and a MBGM clubman that decided the tailpipe wanted a divorce! This with less than 1500 miles on it, it's a sad day when a £30 tyre will outlast a £230 supposedly super exhaust.

So, I hear good things of the Scootopia Clubman exhaust and wondered if anyone out there ran a similar setup and found it ok / good / rubbish / etc ?

I've no experience with the GT 186 and amidst all the talk over exhaust stubs I doubt I'll be getting one any time soon, but the Scootopia clubmans are great, I've got a BGM clubman on its way hear to have the rattling baffle sorted out if you care to send me your zorst I'll happily reattach your tail pipe, assuming you didn't loose it that is! Fire me a pm if you want.

Why not contact the supplier of the exhaust, there should be a warranty period on it.

I have two scooters,one a series 2 with a Casa 185 top end and the other is a series 3 with a Casa 210 top end,both have Scootopia Ancillotti type clubman exhausts.They run and sound fantastic.

I have one of the very first BGM V1 Clubmans on my S Type, the one people said was loud, and it's quiet and still solid after thousands of miles. I have a V3 one on my J Range which is much louder but only done 500 miles.

V3 on your J range I take it it's got a slim style engine shoehorned into it

I have a BGM v1was used on mugello 186&198.The baffle are rattling around inside, case and tailpipe are solid tho.Not loud at all imo.

The loose baffle in mine caused it to cut out all of a sudden. Sometimes I could go 5 miles and other times 500m. I'd get it sorted before you get stranded. Presumably it was blocking the exit.

Aye, I could contact scooter center i guess but wasn't impressed with the initial service I got from them so not sure I hold a lot of hope out. EDIT, email sent but theres no mention of warranties anywhere I can see :-/

No experience on a GT, but on a stage 4 200 with 26mm phbh it works great.
Was easy to fit and they have now repositioned the spring lugs.

Comes with chrome stub and bend, well worth the money on all fronts

BGM V3 on my GT240, I had to file the down pipe joints a bit as they were a bit oval and the tail pipe needed a whack so that the kickstart missed it but otherwise is was fine for the 2200 miles to Adria and back. But it is loud

Yes thanks.I had problems with it on the c2c restricting the power tho not cutting out.

Well, Scooter center have sent me a free return postage label so im going to get it off today and get it shipped tomorrow and see what happens, theyve not expressly said they were replacing it so ill see if they come up with some excuse for not doing so and make them ship the broken one back to me.

OK, moot point now anyway! just discovered this as i took off the exhaust!

Have bgm V1 on my S2 Bgm rt 196, it originally cracked around the suspect rear but Broady repaired it foc and has been fine ever since. Have the V3 on my special and again the baffles went but replaced under warranty by SCK. Hope u get it sorted Donnie
