What are you using ? , most of my riding is two up , and need something that is good in wet and dry conditions

I'm running Anlas Winter Grip (Was Conti Move 365) chunky but great grippy tyre , only get @1500 miles on rear due to soft compound , Also run Conti Twists on another , used these for a while good alround tyre with good ratings , i've also got a set of Sava MC20,s to try as well , just make sure you check the tyre ratings for speed , weight etc before purchase

Personal favourites for the conditions you describe were the Michelin city grips.

I like Conti move 365 too. Why the name change have they been bought out? I use Continental tyres on a couple of my bikes and they’re still available.

Me too, great winter tyres but do wear quicker in the summer. I found them better on the edges in the wet, through roundabouts etc, than the Michelin City Grips but that's where personnel choice/confidence in the tyres makes the difference.

I like Conti move 365 too. Why the name change have they been bought out? I use Continental tyres on a couple of my bikes and they’re still available.

Afaik Continental just stopped doing them, but the factory that made them decided to continue and sell them under the Anlas name, so still the same tyre

Not popular but I use 100/90 schwalbe weatherman. been using this tyre for 5+ years with no issues . fantastic in the wet and failed an mot after 3000 +miles

Heidenaus, K47 and K58, are good but really hard to fit on tubeless rims as the walls are reinforced.

I've got 100/90 Schwalbe Powertracks on my all year round & rally hack. On the 3rd set on the rear and been good as gold but only getting 1500 to 2000 miles. Am going to change to City grips next time though as getting good reviews

I've been using Dunlop ScootSmart, the hi load version, Italy and back, 2200 miles fully loaded motorways, mountains, blistering heat and torrential rain, no issues whatsoever. Front is still good for another 2k or so but the rear will need replacing in another 100 miles or so. I also rated Conti Twist Sport very highly too, not much to choose between them and the Dunlops.

I really don't like the Save MC20's though. I bought one a few years ago and the side walls were so thin I didn't trust it on the rear. Put in on the front and was not too impressed to find it developed lumps as the inner reinforcement started to fail

I will only ever use tyres from proper tyre manufacturers in future, i.e. full R&D budgets and QA processes in place.

They do 2 versions, 51P (195kg 93mph) and 59J (243kg 62mph). The latter being the better option for riding 2 up or fully loaded with rally gear.

Got to say I'm using Scootsmarts at the moment. Very impressive tyre. But I think I'll be lucky to get much over 1000 on my rear tyre. I know there is always a trade off between grip and wear, but even so that's going to get expensive in the long run.

See my post above, brand new Scootsmart fitted to my GT240 still road legal after the ride down to Adria back in June loaded up to the gills. The temperatures were up in the mid to high 30's C and I kept checking to see if the rear tyre was getting too hot but all was fine. The load rating is by far the most important figure in my view as it gives you a nice 3 ply side wall which is going to give a slight margin of safety in the event of sudden deflation. Speed wise, I doubt many of us ride at much over 60 mph for anything other than short distances.
