Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Looking for a little help? I have registered three scooters in years gone by with the Dvla with no problems. Today, I received my paperwork back from my latest application. All paperwork is correct they tell me but I forgot to include a "EEC certificate of conformity?" Does anyone know what this is please? I have never been asked for this before.

Thanks for the reply Richard. What I have done is enclosed the orginal date of manufacture certificate I had with the lambretta. I think it's the Spanish equivalent of the V5 and returned the paperwork this afternoon. I'm now hoping that this will suffice. The dvla is literally 10 minutes down the road from me in Swansea. If this doesn't work I'll forward you the rejection letter if I receive one.

"EEC certificate of conformity?" Does anyone know what this is please?
That's required for registering a
new scooter.

It seems that since they shut there regional offices they either dont know or dont care.I had an Li registered in 2015 and the form kept coming back as being wrong,I eventually got the name of a supervisor and addressed the form to him,I received my registration within days.I still have the name and address of the supervisor and if he is still there it might worthwhile you doing the same. His address is in this post.
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2816&p=23749#p23749 Just a thought, you haven't tried to register your scooter as new have you? Rich Oswald beat me to it.To register new or used, use different forms.

Question is "is the OP trying to register a brand new scooter or an old one which is new to him"? I suspect the latter.

Trying to register a 1961 Spanish series 2. As stated above, I have registered Italian lambrettas with the dvla in the past with no issues. As we know, The dvla can be hit or miss. Depends who deals with your case.

A quick update.
V5 logbook came through the post on Thursday.
Looks like the original Spanish logbook that I had done the trick.
Shouldn't have really needed it but hey ho.
