Has anybody fitted a SIP to an S1 headset. I know they say it fits, but it's the same unit for S1 and S2.
Before I spend £200 on all the bits, can someone confirm it does or can be made to fit please?
If made to fit, what's the best way to do this?

Yes. Fit fine. Although the throttle pulley touches the plastic surround a bit but otherwise a simple replacement physically. How you wire it up is up to you. I’ve run it on DC and have only had CHT gauge and rev counter connected. Not bothered with speedo or low fuel warning thingy.

The wires the come out the bottom of the speedo have a bunch of connectors for various attachments and sensors. I had great fun and games making enough space to poke them through the bottom of the headset. But they will fit. Just need to be patient. Also getting the speedo ring to fit was more challenging than it should haVe been. I guess I'm just describing the experience of fitting any after market attachment to a lambretta
