Is there a current flavour of the month in terms of standard wheel rims? Nice and true, flat, etc.
Thanks.

I've found Scootopia rims to be good, they have the valve hole in the right place so there is less/no strain on the valve if the correct tube is used with an offset valve.

I've used several Scootopia rims. Trouble is I don't know which is original and which isn't now, and I don't know till I take them apart. I've also seen the standard BGM rims lately, and they look really good and a lovely fit.

I have two pairs of scootRS tubeless rims on two scooters, these look like split rims but are tubeless.

Ah, but the only flaw in that argument is that they no longer make them.

Thanks both that's really appreciated, I ordered a scootopia standard rim last week and have only just seen it as I've been away at work. Have to say that at first glance it looks great. As you'd kinda expect from them.
Thanks again. I'll have to get another project on the go so I can take you up on it.

Has anyone had a real struggle getting S83s onto Scootopia rims?

Not really a struggle but the skirt of the tyre (or whatever you call it) is quite a small diameter and interferes with the valve.

There's a bloke that does the parts fairs. Not sure who he is, but he always has loads of the BGM rims. Doesn't sell online unfortunately.
