Engine mounts

Postby Lambr62 » Thu May 31, 2018 10:05 am

Hi,
I need to replace the engine mounts on my series 2 Spanish TV175 and wondered what the opinion out there is to the best ones to replace current ones which are the big type but no idea of origin.

Ive seen some positive and not so positive feed back on scootopia ones and also recomendations on SIL types. Thanks for any information recieved. ;)

BGM ones seem to be the ones to go for. All I can tell you is that they work well in mine. Mind you I had to get some from Germany recently.

I use SIL 3 hole type on my series 3,I fit them 3 years ago and they've been fine.On my series 2 I fit one 3 hole SIL and one double length I got from AF's.Again I fit them 3 years ago and they've been fine.

Whilst my TS1 is on the bench, I have just replaced my mounts with the “new” Scootopia ones. Gut feel is that the rubber is the same sort of consistency as the “Vulcan” made Indian ones they are replacing. We’ll see.
