Fitting a lambro headset

Postby riveracing » Fri Sep 05, 2014 9:36 pm

Hi all.
Iam in the process of restoring a series 1 and want to fit a lambo headset. Anyone done this already? I have a headset but it's obvious it's not a straight forward fit.
Help!
I would be interested in purchasing a series 1 headset as a back up plan if anyone has one for sale?
Cheers, Martin.

I saw a whole remade s1 handlebar /horncast kit somewhere recently for fitting to s2, sure it was only a couple of hundred quid

Couple fleabayers, I have ordered a set myself from a trader called yaminiahuja which is headset, horncast and all the bits inside and out including speedo and lights... or so he claims...

The pictures show very good items and that is what I am expecting.

That's me few years ago, visiting a friend in Spain.
I don't have much info but the lambro headset looks very cool.

I was with Harry Barlow today, and he has a set of Lambro handlebars to his SI. I rode the scooter (strong engine) and found it very comfortable. I took some photos.

Harry showed me a completely different set of Lambro handlebars, which he intends to fit to a different bike. They look more like the ones fitted to Dimitrios's machine above. These looked like more of a challenge to fit, but I thought it worth pointing out that there are more than one style of handlebar.

Yup, that's the one.

The headset is slightly different from the one fitted to the white scooter above.
