Thinking of converting my series 2 to a series 1 lookalike. Has anyone tried the conversion kits from India? Are they ok for the money? Don’t mind a bit of fettling or smoothing out.

I’ve been in touch with them inquiring about a turning front mudguard which is also part of the plan. Didn’t notice the horn casting so that’s an option. I only thought of the Indian kit as it has the handlebar castings too.

I bought the Indian conversion kit a few years ago. They are very rough (sand cast). I spent a very long time on the horncast and got it to a reasonable condition. The headset top was pretty bad. After a long time I still wasn't happy with it. The other thing to consider is you'll need to fabricate a bracket to fit the horncast to a s2 frame as the bracket is in a different position.

How long did they take to arrive?
