Inlet manifold

Postby shane BBoys » Wed Feb 15, 2023 5:36 pm

Sorry I am being super lazy, is a GP 125 inlet manifold a different size to say a LI 125, I am aware of the 200 having different hole spaces for fixing to the barrel, it is the spigot to carb I am enquiring about?

Cheers Shane.

I’d thinks maybe Yes :-
As a LI125 uses 18mm carb & GP125 uses a 20mm

Someone more savvvvy will confirm tho
as Iv only really messed with large block engines

You should have no problem fitting the GP/DL 125 carb and manifold to your LI150 barrel - both have the same smallblock/barrel stud spacings . Paul :)

are you keeping the li125 18mm carb & want to use the gp 20mm manifold?
if so then try it in the carb first, it shouldnt fit, but it could well be slightly worn & could fit

Mike.
I was wanting to use a GP 125 carb SH 20 n was trying to mate it to my Spanish 150 motor without changing the manifold!

If we're talking S3 then all 18 and 20mm carbs will physically fit the range of manifolds; 18 and 20mm are interchangeable as the have the same diameter socket/nylon sleeve.

NB: However, neither is interchange with the 22mm carb.

Please note that there are minor differences to internal bore diameters, port sizes at gasket face, and length of manifold.

S1, S2 and S3 are different though.

BTW If you have any doubt, just offer the carb up.

Thanks for all your comments I have now got a reduction sleeve which I didn’t know existed ordered it when I got a carb gasket set; since that I actually managed to get the original manifold that was on the GP. 125 that the carb came from this has a sleeve on it too, which I did not know existed? Anyhow I’ll try n get on with it in between work n running the TS in.
Cheers Shane.
