Paint stripper

Postby gizmo » Sun Mar 05, 2023 10:53 am

I need to strip rear frame grill of paint so I can polish it. Will such as nitromors do job or is it best to get it done professionally.

A dremmel and a bag of brass wire brushes from China off ebay.

Wear safety specs and thick overalls though as the bristles come off quick. One pierced my wrist once; went about 20mm into me like a little spear! They do work well though and I still use them, albeit with appropriate PPE

if you go down the paint stripper route the screwfix own brand stuff is pretty good

personally for something as small as a rear frame grill I'd DIY
