disk brake nut

Postby lofty » Thu Apr 13, 2023 7:39 pm

on a scootrs/nissin/generic type hydraulic conversion, should there be a half nut on the n/s spindle between hub and link (similar to innocenti disk)?

im looking at a friends scoot and must admit i havnt seen many of these before, there was no half-nut, but it seems to me there should be..

thanks

I think I did when I owned one of disc brakes, as I remember having to buy a half nut separate
it's a few years ago now - well pre-covid anyhow, hence why I'm a little vague
