Spanish Jet 200 engine in an Italian frame

Am I correct in believing that there is no need for a spacer on where the shock absorber (Protech/Chiselspeed adjustable) mounts to the engine?

The need for a spacer is when you fit an Italian engine to a later Spanish frame. Is that right?

That’s correct although I always fit shim washers regardless

Thanks. I ended up measuring an Italian casing and, yes, the stud attachment on the casing is virtually identical dimensions. It is also situated in the same position.
