Casa disc brake hose

Postby gizmo » Sat Mar 02, 2024 2:09 pm

Anyone fitted the casa disc brake hose with the inline brake fitting. I presume unlike the venhill type the banjo isn't removable. I don't want to slot headset bottom I want to drill a hole in the side so will it have to be the size of the banjo to pass it through then find a grommet suitable to cover it.

I wondered what the grommet on the hose was for. Thought it was a bit bulky for headset. Thanks for that. Will get drill out

The ‘proper’ braided steel hoses comprising a compression fitting at each end, are dismantle-able so that, if you’re brave enough, the hole in the headset only need be clearance for the hose, not all the gubbins on each end…..

. I have sent it off for engraving but if I remember right I measured centre of grommet which I think was 14mm which looks massive but is right for the rubber grommet which is on hose.
