Looking at a 14 litre tank but the seller states that it is for series 3/gp. How much different is a series 1/2 regards to space to fit?

I’ve fitted the bolt in one into a series 2 fitted fine after struggling to get the strap type mid range to fit , the SSP one which is discontinued now always fitted in all series 1/2/3
