can this be repaired ? Thinking a dermmel could be used to carefully square up the inside face....

That just needs a tidy up to remove the cracked portion.

If you think about what the lip does, it is an abutment for the seal to keep it in place axially.

I have used worse after a clean up, with no issues!

As above or get really hot and tap it back into shape against a flat, hard surface.

There's a risk it will break off in use if you do this I would have thought, then it's floating around in the engine. Break it off and tidy it up, just my opinion.

It's already apart. If it broke off it could jam against the flywheel and stator coil so I guess it would be safer to break off and file flat.
