GP Ignition Switch

Postby kennystag » Fri Jan 15, 2016 8:27 pm

Hi All,
Is there a difference between AC and DC ignition switches for the GP, as I need a new switch, as the one I have is kind of faulty, the switch that is on is AC I think, as I was running points, I am now have electronic ignition fitted, but I do not to muck it up with the wrong switch. That is why I was wondering if there is a difference between the 2.
Cheers

Hi Kenny
No real difference except the dc switch has a -1 position I.e a position to the left of off to leave parking lights on (if you have battery) and remove key

I've swapped from 6v ac( points) to 12v dc without changing the ignition, no problem at all.
