Working on my 1954 D125 MkII I've discovered that the little end bush was worn and wanted changing. (14mm pin). I've fitted a new bush but noted that whilst doing that there are three small holes drilled radially through the little end of the con rod on its centre line. The bush OD blocks off these holes. Why are they there ? If they were drilled through the bush they could possibly provide some lubrication for the small end gudgeon pin however, the old bush I removed didn't have any corresponding holes. Is this why it was worn ?
