I wonder if anyone can help with 3 questions on the above .
1 I am using Comma semi synthetic 2 stroke oil from my local TMS what would you recommend for the ratio/% its a stock old engine with a Variotronic ?
2 Is any grade of petrol ok ?
3 What difference does altering the needle valve make ? Mine has 3 grooves
Cheers

The stock engine has a plain bushing for the little end so I would run a quality, synthetic 2T oil at 4%.

If you can get ethanol-free fuel, that would be best. Around here, super/premium has low to no ethanol and that is what I use. Fuel these days is not very stable. Do not store your scoot with fuel in it. Drain both the tank and the carb before storage.

Putting the clip in a lower groove on the needle, raises the needle in the needle jet which will richen the mid-range.

I use to run my 150 LD at 20-1 ratio as recommend but that was with cheap mineral oil
