Of course, they don't give a torque! This was common back then as torque wrenches were exotic and rare. Later engines used 50 ft lbs but they had larger taper and thread size. I'd go with 35 to 40 ft lbs.

Late to the party on this topic but I see torque figures advised for this flywheel nut in the instructions for the replacement Ducati Stratos kit; for models C, LC, D and LD they recommend 45 - 50 Nm.
Despite the replacement flywheel, it’s the same nut and tapered shaft we’re bolting it onto, so I now set a wrench at 40 Nm and I double click at that.

50 nm = 35 ft/lbs
