LD MK111 150 hard to start when hot

Postby Modmania » Sat Aug 09, 2014 12:44 pm

I have a problem with the above. When it has been run for about 20 miles, and stopped, if you try to restart straight away, it is dificult. Starting cold with the choke out is no problem. The mixture screw is one and half turns open.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Regards

Lots of possibilities but I'll weigh in with one suggestion; it could be the condenser starting to break down.

Get it hot, pop off the spak plug wire and hook it to another spark plug with a wide gap set. Hold the plug against the engine and kick. How's the spark?
