Fantastic. Had a brief chat with you and admired the scooter early on at St Bees. Hats off to you!

Gutted that I broke down in the way and didn't get to see and hear this scooter.

thanks for the comments, its a 1955 125cc twin moto rumi from bergamo northern italy, totaly standard and unmodified except for - electronic ignition / rebuilt crank / 2 new cables / new speedo glass it still has its original ceat rear tyre but i had to replace the front with a period pirreli.
its the basic formichino version = flat out at about 50mph, the hills both up and down where fine but was using first a fair bit during our hardnot and wrynose diversion. :)

At the Green Dragon stop off point the Rumi looked to have a small loaf of bread or packed lunch swinging off the back...
great to see something out of the norm cruising along the route, sounding like a mini Targa Twin..

Unitar construction....pretty impressive specs.. they were even raced and imported to Britain

scarborough col, you will be pleased to know the loaf of bread survived the trip, it was part of our ultra budget breakfast in the caravan at st bees on sunday morning, = 50p bread 30p marmalade, terry my riding partner splashed out a full 80p on the margarine :( . i have often been accused of being a tight arse! but this was extreme even for me :D :D

Makes a nice change to see another make of geared two stroke Scooter joining the C2C rather than Vessy GTS's.( Light blue touch paper then retire.) ;)
