I work at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome and no it's not a Mig, it is a 1960's French built Dassault Mystere- strangely in Iranian Airforce colours.

Not that strange I would have thought.
Don't forget that until the late 70's, the Shah was very close to the U.S.A. and the main European powers, who provided all of his military equipment.

Ah Bruntinghthorpe, I've spent many a happy hour thrashing my Marcos around the track there back in the days when car clubs could rent it for sprints and auto tests......Then the locals got it stopped

I say strangely because the French only sold them to the Israelies and the Indian airforce. This one is owned by the Americans and was the first plane to be displayed at Bruntingthorpe.....bloody loads there now.

You can still rent track time by the hour but under noise constraints, ironic really as we had 3jumbo jets come in over the last couple of weeks. :?:

I will try to find out for you. I don't actually work for the people who own Bruntingthorpe, our company is based there.
