I think my thoughts are just as you said at the moment, panels off leave as much as I can original, rebuilt forks, rebuild and upgrade brakes suspention and engine. On the engine front I am just weighing up 200 conversion to 150 ie weld and tap to fit big block or a small block kit. I just like the ide that you could do a full orig resto on a kit.
Cant wait to work on it, just the thought that it is basically unstripped since it left the factory 34 years ago It even has orig battery strap and concertina gear cable sleaves, albeit little disks of material as they have deteriated over the years
