My other RAT mod TV175 series 2

Postby rudeboy67 » Mon Sep 22, 2014 2:29 am

I found this in a shed in Holland owned by a old lady from new she had had a few bumps and fell off it a few times she finally put it away under a few dusty blankets ... and so it sat for 10 years.
I got her running very easily but had no time to sort it out so I put her away for about a year while collecting a few original accessories to add to the ones already on it .Some of the things on it I decided to change some I kept

I know you'll be keeping them on but those central crash bars just look so wrong imo,

So many thing could be added so after a while decided that less is some times more as a good friend pointed out to me so few more trial and errors continued
THE SEAT CHOICE WAS EASY ORIGNAL SAT TORINO IN ORIGINAL CONDITION (BIT KNACKERED  )

[imgImage][/img]
[imgImage][/img]

Then do I add lights to the rack ???

[imgImage][/img]
[imgImage][/img]

Now for the side panes I decided on Lightning strikes and fried eggs

[imgImage][/img]
[imgImage][/img]

The back light was changed for a Catalux in original unpainted condition

[imgImage][/img]

The wheel carrier was inside legshield Super Carrier with original disc

[imgImage][/img]

Starting to take the look I want just cant decide screen or no screen

Engine rebuild keeping as much original or NOS parts possible as only done low mileage and judging by the barrel and original borgo piston in good condition it is correct :D :D the only upgrade is a NOS 23m carb not the 21 and a casa 42m exhaust with a little extra pipe added as shown in previous pics .. now for the bad new there has been water in the engine from its long stay in a shed by the looks but no major problems just a little surface rust and emulsified oil

Just Like to thank Johan Groen of the dutch lions for his part in the engine rebuild ...tried to keep it as original as possible and still on the 6v system few little upgrades that were needed to give her a little more go ....ran her up the road and back pulls well in every gear got to try it through the Airbox now ... then box her up just few little jobs left to do then on the road for summer ....... :D :D :D
