Thought I'd show you my 1960 li. I bought it to restore but thought it deserved sensible preservation rather than a restoration. I have left the body work and paint alone, apart from just adding some stickers (.......I like them anyway )
I m really keen on the original Italian dealers badge on the mudguard..
Anyway, I reused what I could - it's still running 6v electrics. It's had new suspension, brakes, cables, coil , wheels and bearings. The engine was reconditioned by Diablo Moto with a150cc barrell.
From cold it starts first kick but when hot it's a bugger to start. Think I might post another question on this topic. Anyway t's currently running a 18mm Delorto from a Li 150 series 3 and a larger air scoop. I have kept the original parts for the sake of keeping with the scoot.
