Long awaited Li150 Restoration

At last I've finished the restoration of my 1963 Li150. I bought it in 2006 with the frame and engine partially restored, and it has been languishing under a cover in my garage until last year when I finally made time to finish it. All panels except the side panels and rear footboards are original, and I have the original speedo showing 10,000 kms. The first V55/5 was rejected as I sent in my original dating certificate from 2006, not realising that from 2013 DVLA needed more info.However, here it is; the only problem I have now is flooding from the jetex carb. A new Scootopia replacement is on the way!!

Nice scooter.As regards the jetex carb,I'm afraid thats a common problem with a jetex.You need to remove the float and run a small drill bit by hand through the pivot point,were the pin goes through the float,until it moves freely on the pin.

I agree with the last, just run a fine drill through the float. it allows the float to move freely. Did mine no problems at all. I think they are a good little carb. I also fitted Delly jets in mine as they are a reliable size. It would be worth drilling out the new carb float.

Thanks for the advice, I'll do that tomorrow as I don't know how long I'll have to wait for the replacement.

Nice job, looks very smart. Don't throw your old panels and runners out, someone will buy them, most can be welded/beaten back into shape.

as to the jetex carb throw it in the scrap bin and fit a 25mm dellorto far better set up well i think so anyway
