Anti-vibration pads - head cowling

Postby sherpadean » Tue Apr 21, 2015 8:33 am

My 125 special head cowling - once removed thanks for earlier advice - was without the anti-vibration pads inside.....what size/dimensions should they be? I'll be using cork...?

Thanks,

Mike... ;)

Not really critical, I think I cut mine about 5mm or so thick, they will squash down when you push the cowl into place. I used super glue to hold them.

I'm just about to finish my headset off and want to fit these but I've no idea where they go.

A picture please?

 There's two conversations going on here. The OP is after the pads that go in the cylinder cowling which I have never seen remade. In answer to that, I must say I haven't put any cork in for a few years but, as Coaster says, superglue or Araldite will work.

The pads for the headset are glued to the tips of the headset top, where they come into contact with the bottom, Dickie ;) :D
