Flywheel cowl earth lead

Just fitting the wiring loom to my 150dl.
I am a bit loathe to dremel off the new powder coating on my flywheel cowl to attach the required earth lead.
Can this be attached elsewhere? - to the left hand rear frame strut for example?

It’ll be okay. It’ll earth through the bolt into the alloy of the casing.

Earths to the frame, say behind the rectifier, on a freshly painted frame are different though.
