Legshield tool box

Postby ahutch7 » Tue Apr 28, 2015 2:31 pm

Hi all,
I bought a legshield toolbox for my series 3 lammy but I can't fathom out how to fix it on.
All the pictures I have seen of scooters with toolboxes fitted don't appear to have any extra holes in the legshields but the holes in the lugs in my toolbox do not match up to any existing screws in the legshield.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Hutch,
Not too sure which toolbox you have, but I fitted the scoot RS one to mine when building the bike.
I found some installation instructions that may help you.

Usually most of these toolboxes for using the 2 bottom screws from the mudguard mounting and then use 2 new holes drilled right at the (inside) edge of the horn casting further up.

Often you have to drill two new holes behind the horn cast and rivet on a couple of brackets for the upper mountings.

Thanks for the replies.
I assumed the box would be made to fit straight on but as you have all explained I now need to make brackets and trim it to make it fit.
